CCC 1213 Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua), and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word."
We are happy to baptize your child/children here Church of the Transfiguration. Parents wishing to have their child/children baptized should call the parish office to make reservations to enroll in the parental preparation program. Expectant parents are asked to call the parish secretary approximately 4 months before the anticipated birth date to enroll in the class.
Parents who have attended the preparation program may call the parish office to make an appointment for the baptism. Baptisms are celebrated immediately following any weekend Mass.
